Workplace Investigations
As of September 2016, employers are legally obligated to conduct investigations into incidents and complaints of workplace harassment according to the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA). It's up to the employer to choose to investigate these complaints internally or hire an external investigator. Using internal employees to investigate the complaint may seem cost effective, but they may not have the skills, experience or time to carry out a thorough investigation. Having us do the investigation frees up your employees to do what they do best.
We are committed to providing effective, timely, evidence-based investigations at affordable rates. We save your organization time, money and help you avoid costly litigation in the future. We bring impartiality and confidentiality to the process, which is critical to the efficacy of your investigation. Our investigations will also reduce interruptions to your business while demonstrating to stakeholders that you take complaints seriously.
Our process uncovers facts, reveals evidence, and carefully assesses credibility. We provide management with a comprehensive and detailed written report of the findings of fact needed to make fair decisions.
